Congratulatory telegrams and letters to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the occasion of Independence Day

December 18, 2019

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev continues to receive congratulations from the Heads of foreign states and Heads of international organizations on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres congratulated the people of Kazakhstan on the national holiday.

“These are challenging times, when international cooperation is needed more than ever. The entire world gains when “We the Peoples” come together in good faith for peace, sustainable development and human rights,” the letter of congratulations says.

In his congratulation letter addressed to President Tokayev, King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud writes: “I wish the friendly people of Kazakhstan development and prosperity, as well to you personally a good health and happiness”.

French President Emmanuel Macron on behalf of the French people also wishes happiness and prosperity to Kazakhstan.

“I am pleased to note the excellent quality of relations between our countries. As you know, when I met with the First President Nursultan Nazarbayev on the sidelines of the Asia-Europe Meeting in Brussels on October 18, 2018, we identified three priority sectors of economic cooperation: agriculture and food industry, digital development, renewable energy sources. We must now implement our initiatives in these sectors.  To do this, we could together define a roadmap for the implementation of the strategic partnership for the next decade to facilitate the launch of new joint projects,” the French President writes.

Emmanuel Macron also welcomes Kazakhstan’s steps in the collective security and peaceful use of nuclear energy areas.

President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko noted the significant achievements of Kazakhstan in socio-economic development, stability and national harmony achieved during the years of sovereignty.

“The State has firmly established its reputation as a responsible and influential participant in international relations, which makes an important contribution to global security, deepening integration processes in the Eurasian space, and building a progressive society. I am convinced that traditionally friendly Belarus-Kazakh relations based on mutual trust, support and close partnership will continue to grow stronger for the benefit of our countries,” the telegram says.

President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili, President of Moldova Igor Dodon, President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, Crown Prince, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Council for Economic and Development Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov also sent their congratulatory letters on the occasion of Independence Day and expressed good wishes to the people of Kazakhstan.
